The crusade schedule for 2026 looks a little different than that which most of our MAs are accustomed to viewing. The experience drawn from the Federal Team of 2025, the increasing cost of 5-6 day crusades, the challenge of scheduling weekends in the face of staffing shortages, and the increasing number of invitations received gave the ministry’s leadership valuable information that led to basic format changes.
This new schedule includes a new category we are calling Campaigns. The listed crusades are still 5-6 days; the Campaigns are 3 or 4 days and always built around a weekend. While the Crusades retain a familiar format, the Campaigns reflect the lessons learned from the Federal Team experiences; they will include a shorter, intense time frame and require less support (per trip) for those who feel called to serve multiple times over the course of the year or have accumulated more vacation time.
As you review the opportunities presented here, recognize that some details may change along the way. Since every commitment requires altering family or work schedules, we will commit to the dates as presented. Destinations may, however, be impacted by the responses from individual prisons.
